Hello Everyone.
Ning has announced their
new pricing plan. After I reviewed the options, the most important aspects of this site is 1) the custom member pages; 2) events to assist in planning for the annual event and promote other events that are taking place on the road that we all love to ride. The event and member page here at NING will NOT be available in the MINI package which also included a huge cutback to 1GB total space allowed on the site. I was not ready to start paying $19.95 a month, nor ask any of our subscribers to pitch in, to keep this site running as we have become accustomed.
If any members want to message me on this and give some suggestions, I will certainly consider all options presented if enough people want to stay and pay. So many other (free) options are available to us and I have already begun migrating our presence toward
Google Groups/Sites and
Facebook.
highway129.ning.com will remain "open" here at Ning until the lights are turned out by the Ning administrators. IF you have any memorabilia stored here that you wish to preserve, then you are advised to download it over the next several weeks. I certainly hope that you will consider to begin contributing to our other group locations.
